Arctic Valley Ski Area is a non-profit ski area located in Anchorage, Alaska, just 10 miles from downtown. It offers skiing on 320 acres of skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of 1,500 feet. The ski area is surrounded by Chugach State Park and is a popular destination for wilderness lovers in all seasons. In the winter, it offers skiing on weekends, school holidays, and afternoons on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as tubing on Thursdays through Sundays. The area also features a summer cafe and is a popular spot for hiking and events.
